About Ufo

Ufo is comprised of a vocalist Phil Mogg, a guitarist, a drummer and a bassist that all form an iconic British rock band that was founded at the end of the 1960s. Initially it was known as Hocus Pocus, but later it was renamed into UFO. Its debut album was released at the beginning of the 1970s. The album was followed by a prominent single Flying which had enormous success in France, Japan and Germany. The band quickly gained appraisal of devotees across the country and beyond its boundaries. The next album Live came into being only in Japan. Back in 1974, the guitarist Mick Bolton left the band, and after several trials, another prominent guitarist was found to replace the former one. Michael Schenker became a permanent member of Ufo and was known to produce a harder guitar sound. In the 1976s, the popularity of the band among the American mainstream audience reached its peak. However, after the release of the Obsession album, Schenker left the group to rejoin the Scorpions and in later years form his own group. Today, the Ufo band is known not only in its homeland, but across the whole world being a prominent member of the rock music industry. The band continues its creative activity directed towards producing heavy-edged music for its devoted fan base.
