The famous American rock band 311 was created in 1988; at that time the members of the band were Nick Hexum, who was the vocalist; Jim Watson who was playing the guitar, Aaron Wills – the bassist and Chad Sexton who played the drums. The name of the band is pronounced as “Three-eleven”. The first record by 311 that was released in 1989 was “Downstairs”; the single “Feels so good” has become the biggest hit from the debut album. In a short time, already in 1990 the band published the second record named “Dammit!”; it was released with the help of IEV Studios. The nest year was a real success for 311, because another album appeared; it was called “Unity”, which gained even more success than the two previous ones. Starting from this time the rock band had been invited to different music shows and programs, 311 was the most demanded band on TV. In 1990 311 had their first show which took place at Sokol Auditorium in Nebraska. 311 singed with Capricon Records in 1992; together they published two great music albums: “Music” in 1993 and “Grassroots” in 1994. The amazing single “Down” reached the 12^th position on American’s Billboard 200; and the hit “All mixed up” was on top of Billboard Hot modern rock tracks. The next music albums “Transistor”, “Soundsystem” and “From Chaos” got certified platinum and gold. One of the lasted albums of 311 named “Greatest hits ’93-03’” also got a gold certification.
