About The Lumineers

The Lumineers is a folk rock band that was established in the 1990s. A pair of musicians Wesley Shultz and Josh Fraites decided to form their own band at the end of the millennium. The leader of the band Wesley replaced his former interests with guitar playing and started writing songs along with his friend. The pair of singers practiced a lot and achieved great heights in a short period of time. The founders of the group started playing together while living in New York. However, they were not satisfied with the results of their work, and strived to expand the horizons. For this reason, they packed everything they had and moved to Colorado with a hope of becoming more popular and achieving greater heights in the musical industry. The first thing they did when they moved to Colorado was finding a cellist. Together with a new instrument in place they managed to achieve great popularity shortly afterwards. Acoustic rock, traditional pop and classic folk characterize every creation of the band reflecting their individual style in music. The band soon started to attract mainstream audience with their new songs “Stubborn Love” and “Ho Hey”.
