Their latest appearance was a winning game at the BBVA Compass Bowl in 2014 against Houston. He was three times Pro Bowler, once Second- Team All- Pro and he started all 191 games he had played in NFL.

Basketball program at Vanderbilt went to 14 NCAA tournaments, reaching the Sweet Sixteen round 6 times and their biggest accomplishment, the Elite Eight once in 1965.The Commodores were three times conference tournament champions and they have three conference regular season titles in their trophy cabinet.The Commodores are only one of three teams to make a 3-point field goal in every game since the rule implementation in 1986. They are currently on a streak of 959 games with a three pointer made.One of the better known Commodores in the NBA was Will Perdue who played center position in NBA for 14 seasons, mainly for the Bulls. He won three NBA titles with Chicago and one more with the Spurs during his career.
