About Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers was founded in 1976 as an expansion team and in 1979 season it written itself in the NFL history as a first post-merger team to host and play in a conference championship game, win a playoff game and to win its division.
The franchise has had its ups and downs but it won Super Bowl in 2003 during its only one appearance making it only a third franchise to have wine their lone Super Bowl contest.
The team is member of NFC South division which they share with the Saints, Panthers and Falcons. The team’s colours are Red, Pewter, Orange and White and the mascot is a Caribbean pirate named Captain Fear and who joined the team in 2000.
The Buds as they’re called for short are under Lovie Smith head coaching wings. Smith played football at a university and immediately after graduation he went into coaching duties. He’s been to two Super Bowls and also been named AP NFL Coach of the Year in 2005. He’s been a head coach since 2004 and with the Bucs since 2014.
The franchise spent their first overall draft pick in 2015 on Jameis Winston in a hope he’ll become the franchise’s face of the future. Winner of several college trophies including Heisman Trophy and Player of the Year in 2013 Winston does seem to have plenty of potential to progress into pro football well.
Running back Doug Martin will be a great support in the ground game as the first round pick of 2012 Draft already wrote himself in history books as the first NFL player to score touchdown runs of 45+, 65+ and 70+ yards in a single game and he also was the second player to rush for over 250 yards and four score in a single game.
Defence has its stars two, namely Gerald McCoy, regarded as an elite defensive tackle who was chosen by the Bucs in first round of 2010 Draft has so far been chosen to three Pro Bowls and named in the top 100 NFL Players of the Year list in three last year ranking in top 30 in last two.
He is joined by Lavonte David who joined the Franchise in 2012 picked in second round of draft. David has made the 100 NFL Player of the Year list last two years and established himself as a high quality line-backer.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers might not have had a great deal of success in recent years but with so many recent additions to the team’s roster it seems like their stock is going up.
