About Quilt

For those ones who haven’t still heard about the Quilt: it is a new and young music band which plays psychedelic indie rock music. Anna Fox Rochinski who is the vocal, Shane Butler, Kevin Laureau and John Andrews are the members of Quilt. Anna began playing the guitar when she was a young girl; when she grew up she went into the Whitehaus family record and met with Shame Butler. Very fast the other guys also appeared and the music group was formed. In March 2010 Quilt performed for the first time on SXSW festival. In several years – in 2013 Quilt moved to the big city – New York and tried to make success there. In New York Quilt recorded with Mexican summer with the musical producer Jarvis Taveniere. The young musicians were playing different musical instruments in order to find the best sounds: violin, guitar, saxophone, cello etc.  Quilt had some demo songs and were performing with them on different concerts and festivals. The single “Arctic Shark” was released in 2013; this song won a huge popularity among the audience. In 2014 the album “Held in Splendor” appeared. The main feature of Quilt is their music style; there are not many music bands which perform their songs in psychedelic genre. But the young singer and musicians also add some elements of folk – rock, indie – rock and dream pop.
