About Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath is considered to be one of the most adorable rock bands of the 70-80-ties. It is a British music band that appeared in England, in Birmingham in 1968 and consisted from a guitarist Tony Lommi, bassist Greezer Butler, a drummer Bill Ward and the singer Ozzy Osbourne. When the four members met, they started to play fine blues music in a small pub called «Henry’s Blues House» of Jim Simson. After the owner of the pub has noticed the musicians, he suggested to become their manager and to help them to make the first steps in the world of music. The guys agreed, as thought it was their chance to be famous. So for the beginning Jim advised the musicians to take part in a well known musical program in Britain – «Big Bear Folly», but, unfortunately, it wasn’t a success. On the other hand, starting from this time the band works on making own music and writing songs. The first ones were «Wicked World» ? «Black Sabbath». From the very beginning the listeners liked this new wave of music and rhythm. Soon their music has become very popular among lovers of rock music; their songs were considered to be hits and could be heard very often on many radio and TV broadcasting. But as the majority of rock bands of that time, difficulties arose in front of the musicians; and soon the Black Sabbath disbanded. Some of musicians began a solo career, others said goodbye to music. There were some attempts to reunite, but still Black Sabbath has never been the rock band it was in the 17-ies. In 2010 after the death of Dio, the band gave a concert in his honor. Black Sabbath has won the “Greatest Metal Band” of MTV.
