All of you might know this name – Louis Armstrong. This talented American was a great composer, trumpeter and singer who is considered to be the father of jazz music. During 1940’s and 1950’s the talented African-American guy released his greatest hits: “La Vie En Rose”, “That lucky old sun”, “Blueberry Hill” and “I get ideas”. Since that time Louis has already become a jazz star; he toured around America, Europe, Africa and even Asia. It is worth saying that the major work by Louis Armstrong is “Louis Armstrong plays W.C. Handy” which was released in 1954. Not less impressive compositions are: “Yellow dog blues”, “Aunt Hagar’s blues”, “St. Louis blues” and “Loveless love”. The single “What a wonderful world” which appeared in 1967 got on the first position in the English and Australian billboards. For the contribution of Louis Armstrong into jazz music, he was included into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Besides, the great American jazz singer got the Grammy Lifetime Achievements Award by the academy of recording arts and sciences in 1972. Today there are tribute shows of Louis Armstrong best hits performed by different young artists.
