About A Flock of Seagulls

The well known British band A Flock of Seagulls was founded in 1979 in Liverpool by two brothers Michael “Mike” and Alister “Ali” score. Mike was the vocal of the band and played the keyboards; Ali played the drums. Soon Francis Lee Maudsley and Paul Reynolds attended them. The English band A Flock of Seagulls is known for their best hits ever: “Space age love song”, “I ran for away”, “Wishing (If I had a photograph of you)”, “The more you like, the more you love” and many others. A Flock of Seagulls got Grammy award for the video for the song “I ran (So far away)”. The debut album of A Flock of Seagulls was released with Jive records; the hit from this album was called “Talking”. After a short time the band signed to CBS records and then the second music album appeared. Year after year the guys were changing records companies and were releasing singles with each of them. The song “I ran (So far away)” became a worldwide hit in 1982; it has got the first place in Australian charts; it got into American top 10. During three years – till 1989 the band didn’t release any songs and didn’t give any concerts. But already in 1989 A Flock of Seagulls re-recorded the famous song of Madonna “This used to be my Playground”.
